Lawn and Garden Maintenance Cloverdale

A backyard garden in South Cloverdale which just received its bi-weekly maintenance and care.

There’s nothing more awful than a once-gorgeous outdoor space falling into disrepair, especially right before summertime when you’ll be having company over! Once you have your lawn and garden beautifully designed and installed, it’s important to maintain it regularly to ensure its longevity and cleanliness. Our lawn and garden maintenance professionals can take care of every need your outdoor space has. Here are just some of the services we offer:

Lawn
Core Aeration
A lawn aerator machine removes “cores” or little plugs of soil, which opens up the ground so water, oxygen, and nutrients can permeate the soil better. This in turn makes the grass grow more healthy and plentiful. Getting your lawn professionally aerated is a standard part of lawn maintenance.

Liming
Liming your lawn will raise your soil’s pH level, bringing it up to an alkaline level that grasses prefer. When your soil’s pH level is too low, it will start not allowing enough nutrients to be absorbed by the grass. Testing your lawn’s pH level and based on the results, liming your lawn strategically will ensure you have a healthy green lawn.

Moss and Weed Control
Undesirable moss can grow in areas where there is poor drainage, too much shade, drought, and a myriad of other reasons. Weeds if not controlled can take over your lawn due to non ideal conditions as well! Weeds and moss compete for the nutrients and resources your grass needs, so they can impede your lawn’s growth. Hiring professionals for tried, tested, and true moss and weed control programs can make your lawn more lush, thick, and healthy.

Fertilization
Lawn fertilization is key to having that perfect expanse of green grass! Fertilizer contains essential nutrients that your soil may not be able to retain. Fertilizing your lawn seasonally will drastically improve the quality of your lawn all season long.

We also offer custom lawn treatments based on your environment and the condition of your lawn. Other common services we offer are leaf blowing (driveway, patio, walkways, etc.), debris removal, and garden bed edging.

A client of ours noticed that her flowers weren't growing the way they should be and gave us a call. Our crew realized the flower garden had many weeds growing in it that was halting the growth of her flowers. We provided weeding as part of garden maintenance program which allowed her perennials to flourish.

As part of our garden maintenance, we provide fertilizer to ensure our client's garden receives as much nutrients as possible.
After a particularly windy day, a Cloverdale home had a bunch of leaves and debris which blew onto their garden and lawn. Our team was contracted to clean-up the mess.
Garden
Weeding
If you notice that your perennials and annuals are not growing or blooming as they should, it could be because weeds are taking over the area. Weeds will claim the nutrients, water, and space meant for your plants so it’s imperative that they are kept under control. This can be quite a feat considering your busy schedule, so we recommend letting us take care of that for you as a part of your maintenance package.

Trimming/Pruning
You’ve got your garden designed, planted, and it looks amazing! However if you don’t keep up with trimming and pruning these plants, your once-sublime garden will start looking a little wild. If something more refined is what you’re looking for, we recommend adding trimming and pruning to your maintenance routine. Perennials and shrubs will require trimming to keep them looking their best, and trees and hedges will require pruning back to keep them in whatever tip top shape you want. Taking care of your carefully designed garden is an essential part of upkeep of your outdoor space.

Fertilization and Soil Cultivation
Beautiful blooms and healthy shrubs require excellent soil and perfect growing conditions to be their very best. Regular fertilization will ensure that your plants are getting the right nutrients they need to be dazzling all through the season. Soil cultivation is important as well, as the soil will hold the nutrients that the fertilizer provides. These two elements should be part of your regular garden maintenance so your flowers and other plants will continue to impress your guests and create an irresistible environment for you to enjoy!

Leaf/Debris Clean-up
A breeze can be lovely on the hottest summer days, but wind can also bring unwanted debris into your otherwise picture-perfect garden. In particular in the spring and fall, leaves, needles, petals, and other plant material will inevitably end up in your backyard from your plants or your neighbours’. A build-up of leaves and twigs can cover your delicate garden and destroy the harmony you’ve curated. Not only is it unpleasant to look at, they can keep too much moisture in or keep water from getting to your plants, resulting in a poor growing environment. Make clean-up a part of your maintenance package and we can deal with all of that for you!

We also strongly recommend taking advantage of our regular maintenance packages. We offer weekly or bi-weekly maintenance depending on the type of care you’re looking for.

If you need something that’s not on the list, just give us a call - Cloverdale Landscaping can handle any project, small or large.
