Garden
Weeding If you notice that your perennials and annuals are not growing or blooming as they should, it could be because weeds are taking over the area. Weeds will claim the nutrients, water, and space meant for your plants so it’s imperative that they are kept under control. This can be quite a feat considering your busy schedule, so we recommend letting us take care of that for you as a part of your maintenance package. Trimming/Pruning You’ve got your garden designed, planted, and it looks amazing! However if you don’t keep up with trimming and pruning these plants, your once-sublime garden will start looking a little wild. If something more refined is what you’re looking for, we recommend adding trimming and pruning to your maintenance routine. Perennials and shrubs will require trimming to keep them looking their best, and trees and hedges will require pruning back to keep them in whatever tip top shape you want. Taking care of your carefully designed garden is an essential part of upkeep of your outdoor space. Fertilization and Soil Cultivation Beautiful blooms and healthy shrubs require excellent soil and perfect growing conditions to be their very best. Regular fertilization will ensure that your plants are getting the right nutrients they need to be dazzling all through the season. Soil cultivation is important as well, as the soil will hold the nutrients that the fertilizer provides. These two elements should be part of your regular garden maintenance so your flowers and other plants will continue to impress your guests and create an irresistible environment for you to enjoy! Leaf/Debris Clean-up A breeze can be lovely on the hottest summer days, but wind can also bring unwanted debris into your otherwise picture-perfect garden. In particular in the spring and fall, leaves, needles, petals, and other plant material will inevitably end up in your backyard from your plants or your neighbours’. A build-up of leaves and twigs can cover your delicate garden and destroy the harmony you’ve curated. Not only is it unpleasant to look at, they can keep too much moisture in or keep water from getting to your plants, resulting in a poor growing environment. Make clean-up a part of your maintenance package and we can deal with all of that for you! We also strongly recommend taking advantage of our regular maintenance packages. We offer weekly or bi-weekly maintenance depending on the type of care you’re looking for. |
